Since its beginning in the 1980s, digital textile printing – which was developed as a possible replacement for analogue screen printing – has been taking the high-end and mass retailers by storm. It was a difficult task but slowly it’s been made possible by increasing the speed of printers, developing inks which are economical, increasing the coverage area and providing quick-dry option. The time is not far when digital printing will be the cost-effective and sustainable way of printing.
